Kia hiwa rā, kia hiwa rā!
Mai i te kāinga o Te Kaponga, mai i te wānanga o Tamatea Ariki nui,
kia rere ngā roimata o te maunga tūhāhā, arā ko Mauao
ki a koutou mā, ka mihi, ka mihi, ka mihi ake rā.
He mihi tēnei i raro i te mana ngatahi o Ngāti Ruahine me Ngai Tamarawaho,
tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa.
